Who is this test for?

This online English placement test is designed for students preparing to enroll in our General English Intensive Program.

This test alone will not provide a full picture of your English skills.

You will receive your Part 1 – Grammar score instantly. However, a teacher’s evaluation of your writing in Part 2, along with a follow-up oral interview, is required to complete the placement process.

Test Components

The test comprises two parts:

  • Part 1 – Grammar: 55 multiple-choice questions to assess your grammar skills.
  • Part 2 – Writing: Write at least one paragraph for our teachers to evaluate your writing ability.

Time Limit

  • Part 1 – Grammar: 30 minutes
  • Part 2 – Writing: 15 minutes

Important!!

  • Take the test in a quiet, distraction-free environment.
  • Do not seek assistance from others or consult any notes, books, or websites. Doing so may lead to an inaccurate placement and affect your learning experience at Stratford.
  • Answer ALL questions. Unanswered questions will give you ZERO marks.
