Students planning to pursue long-term studies in Malaysia are required to apply for a student visa. This visa has a longer duration than a normal tourist visa and allows the student to exit and re-enter the country multiple times during the period.
Below is the list of documents that you need to submit to us in order to apply for a student visa.
The first step in your visa application process is to prepare your documents. You can find the list of documents to be scanned by clicking HERE.
Once your documents are ready, upload them together with your Student Application Form .
We will then send you an invoice for your visa application fee. We will submit your documents to the Immigration Department of Malaysia after this invoice has been paid.
The evaluation process normally takes 4-6 weeks to complete. You will receive a Visa Approval Letter (VAL) if the application is successful.
After receiving your approval letter, you will need to travel to Malaysia for your medical examination and complete the rest of your student visa application process.
In order to make this journey, you will need to first apply for a Single Entry Visa (SEV).
The SEV can be obtained online from the following website: https://malaysiavisa.imi.gov.my/evisa/evisa.jsp“.
After you have received your single entry visa, it is now time to purchase your tickets and travel to Kuala Lumpur!
The Malaysian government requires that our staff meet you at the airport arrival hall and assist you in clearing immigration.
You will not be allowed to exit the airport immigration area unless accompanied by the school’s representative.
Therefore, it is extremely important that you complete our AIRPORT PICKUP FORM no later than two weeks before your arrival.
If required, we can also arrange transportation that will take you from the airport to your accommodation.
Once you have reached Malaysia, you are required to be examined by an EMGS panel doctor.
This must be done within seven days of your arrival.
Details about this process will be given by our International Student Support officer on the day of your arrival.
After your medical report is ready, our International Student Support Officer shall submit it together with your passport to EMGS for endorsement.
Once endorsed, your passport will be returned to you with your Student Pass attached to one of its pages.
That’s it! You are now a Stratford student and all set to start learning with us!
You can always contact our International Student Support team if you have any questions or require assistance in the application process.
